A little spring in our step!

It has been a crazy hectic month or so, but also a very blessed and wonderful time.  Kevin and I are completely employed by our own business now...YIKES!  But God has shown us that we are truly on His path.  I am so thankful for the comfort and peace that He has provided throughout this transition.

It is a busy time for Kevin, so the kids and I have been trying to come up with fun things to do.  Here is a little bit of our "fun!"

Life is a party

 Here are just a few randoms.   Lexi LOVES to dress up.  This is the get-up she came out with the other day.  Max was really admiring her. : )

The admiration soon turned to frustration.  I let Lexi take some pictures and Max wanted to take some to.  he was told "NO" and this is the tantrum that ensued.  He is cute even when he is mad, isn't he?

Lexi had her first friend birthday party a couple of weeks ago.  It was so cute.  They had the party at a gymnastics studio.  All the kids had a blast.  These are just a few pictures of the fun!

I love this bowl.  I picked it up at TJ Maxx (where you get the Maxx for the Minimum!)  I got a matching casserole, too.  I love the little bees, and the color is so springy!

Wandering in the wilderness

This week in my Bible a Day reading I read the first 18 chapters of Exodus.  Those Israelites (sp?) were so impatient.  They barely received one miracle from God (ie. escape through the Red Sea, bitter water turned good, Manna from heaven, etc.) before they were complaining about God and how He doesn't take care of them.  This got me to thinking.

I do a lot of complaining.  Sometimes out loud and most of the time in my head.  I complain to myself about myself, my kids, my house, my money (or lack there of!!) and about all kinds of people that I come in to contact with.  Why am I complaining?  God has NEVER failed me.  He has always met all of my needs in every way.  Why couldn't those following Moses see that, too?  Or did they?  Maybe they just couldn't stop the complaining.  Maybe Satan had a hold of their thoughts.  Either way, I am going to make it a top priority to pray for grace and peace whenever I think of complaining.

Nowhere to go but out in the snow.

This was taken earlier in January 2011.  We didn't have  sled, so Kevin used the shovel.  The kids had a blast...so did Daddy.

Hope you are having a lot of fun in this snow!  We are enjoying it.  I have been cooking and baking like crazy, though.  I just want to eat eat eat!  Oh, well.
