Big babies...

My little lovelies went to the Dr. for their well visits and here is what we learned:

Lexi - 35.5 in.
          28.4 lbs.
          47 head measurement

Max - 30 in.
           21.8 lbs.
           42 head measurement.

I can't believe how big my little babies are getting.  I also can't believe how different boys and girls really are!!  I mean, I obviously get the overt differences, but the minute details of daily living, learning, and playing are so different!  I love it!

The Dr. says they are perfect, and I tend to agree (though, of course, I am biased).  I pray that the good Lord continues to grow my children in the manner he has to this point!

Bucket of Sweets

MAXimum Fun!

Saturday, May 8th, 2010 we had Max's first birthday party!  Here is a quick shot of some of our guests, as well as our little birthday boy.

Our theme was Curious George.  This was his cake, and we had cupcakes with George on them and Max's little cake was in the shape of a banana. 

Max LOVED his cake...he was gobbling it all up and mushing it all over!!

He got a cool new firetruck from my Mom and Dad (Opa and Yia Yia).  I have never seen a kid climb on something so much!!

Here are some post party pics.  Lexi has my "close your eyes in every picture" problem.  But, Max seems to have missed out on that gene!

Both of my babes are party animals!  They loved everyone coming over to play.  It was a great day!

My baby is 1!

Here is my handsome prince.  Just chewing away on your crib, and pondering your life?  Do you know what today is, Max?

Today is your birthday!  You are ONE! 

What a big boy you have gotten to be.  Your daddy and I love you very much.  You are always so happy and cuddly.  You hug on your big sister and always follow her around to see what she is up to.  Lexi adores you as well.  Everyday I hear her calling to you to come play with her. 

I hope you have a wonderful first birthday.  I hope you have many many more years to spread the joy you have in your heart and your smile.  I hope you always know you are special and loved.

Odds & Ends

Here are a couple of odd pictures.  One is Lexi right out of the shower...lately her hair has turned very wavy.

She woke up today and her hair looked EXACTLY like mine!!  Poor girl!

Here is a picture we took together.  Lexi spilled her yogurt at breakfast the other day.  She said, "a fretzel, Mom!  Look, a fretzel!" 

It did look just like a pretzel (or a "fretzel")  She cracks me up sometimes!

And finally, here is a picture Lexi took of Max.  I think she is on to something here.  She must be taking after her many photographer aunts!!
