Two of my sisters-in-law and I had a 3 day garage sale. I would say it was fairly successful. I would also say it was fairly EXHAUSTING. But it is nice having less "stuff" in the house and basement. Now maybe I will be motivated to organize my house? We shall see.
It was such a wonderful 3 days though. It was fun hanging out with my sisters-in-law and seeing my nieces and nephews play with my children. What a blessing :) I have the cutest nieces and nephews on the planet, that is for sure.
It was such a fun few days I didn't even think twice about selling my "stuff." Except for one thing. A lady bought a bib that I really did not mean to put out. I cried a little bit after she walked off. It was a handmade bib, and it was used by both of my babes. I am still sad about it. But other than that, no tears were shed.
I hope that this garage sale will just continue my purging process so I can get more organized and do a better job at all my "jobs" (ie. Otto Max, mothering, housework, friendships, etc)
Loving my less cluttered life,
M
This blog is to chronicle my little family's experiences. Hopefully it will help me remember all the little things so my children, husband, and I can look back and enjoy our experiences. **Warning** We lead a fairly boring life (just the way I like it)!

The perfect summer day.
A perfect summer day. The other day the kids and I met some of our friends at the Fondulac Farm Park. It was perfect for my preschool age kids! I would highly recommend it. Also, it has SEVERAL playgrounds inside the farm park. Outside their are several MORE playgrounds, picnic areas, etc. It was a perfect place for those of us with young kiddos!
We ate a picnic lunch at the Farm Park, and then played on the playground. After we headed home and had LONG naps, we decided it was perfect weather for a swim.
After swimming we played on our swing set. Check out Max's superman swinging skills.
We wrapped up the day with dinner on the patio. All in all, it was the perfect summer day!
Enjoying my babies,

Lexi feeding the miniature horse
Max loved this kid! He kept feeding it one pellet of feed at a time.
Those cones in their hand are filled with animal food...clever, right?
Posing with our friends, Emma and Evan, as farm animals. I think Lexi and Max should have switched places!!
Lexi demonstrating her swimming skills.
It was a little cold after a while, so we had to have a cuddle : )
Then Max was ready to go...play that is!
Lexi held out longer in the pool...but eventually she needed a little snuggling, too.
Max is showing us how wide he can stretch his arms. Yes, stretching does require silly faces!
Lexi demonstrating her stretch.
You got it, girl! Lexi can officially swing on her own. She has got that pumping thing DOWN! Way to go, Lex!

Love Language
My sister-in-law, Kinze, posted this quiz to her blog:
Kevin and I took the quiz and I thought I would publish our scores. Mine are on the left and Kev's are on the right.
Love Language Scores:
4 Words of Affirmation 5
8 Quality Time 11
1 Receiving Gifts 0
8 Acts of Service 7
9 Physical Touch 7
Pretty right on, right? I love my husband more everyday, he understands me in a way that on one else does. He is the best husband I could ever ask for, and I thank God everyday for a man like him.
Loving my adorable hubs,
M
ps - I cannot get both those widgets off and only one on...so now you see my complete lack of blogging skills!! : )

One of those seasons
Did you ever have one of those seasons where you were just frustrated? I mean frustrated on a daily basis? Oy, I am going through that season now. I feel like I have SO much to do, not enough time to do it and nothing gets done as well as it should...even my parenting : (
I hope this is a short season and my kiddos don't feel like they are back burner babies! Here is a verse that I have been repeating to myself a lot lately! It was a verse that really struck a chord with me when I was a new Christian:
"For I can do all things through Christ, who strenthens me" Phil: 4:13. (side note - Phil 4 is my FAVORITE chapter in the whole Bible. It is so uplifting and full of peace...just what a crazy girl like me needs!)
It still speaks to me deeply.
Still enjoying my life, but praying for the peace to come!

Mother's day
Happy Mother's day. What a special day to celebrate with kids and Moms! My Mom has been an amazing figure in my life. An example of strength, will, determination, love and generosity.
I pray I can instill those same attributes in my kiddos.
Love you, Mom!
Enjoying this beatiful Mother's day,

2 years of love...
Today my baby turns 2. Max is the sweetest, cuddliest angel of a boy. I was worried when I found out I was having a boy. I thought I wouldn't know what to do with one. He makes being his mom easy. : )
Max is a boy that loves his family, especially his big sister. He loves tractors, trucks, and anything that has a motor. He loves Toy Story and Veggie Tales. God has truly blessed us with this amazing little guy.
Blessed,
m

31
31 years old. When I was little that seemed like soooo oooold! But now that I am here, it doesn't seem so bad. What an amazing and blessed 31 years I have had. Above are some pictures of some of my favorite blessings. (I have very limited pictures, or I would have added quite a bit more - like one of my parents, sisters-in-law, etc.) I am so glad to be alive! I pray God continues to bless me for at least another 31 years!
